About TaaSMaster

The Auto Industry is Transforming Fast. I’ve Watched It from the Inside.

In 1981, I started as a GM intern when it controlled nearly 50% of the U.S. market. I earned my Electrical Engineering degree from General Motors Institute, a college GM owned at the time (Yes, GM actually owned a college where it trained many of its engineers). Back then, GM and the Big Three ruled. Today? The auto sector is barely recognizable.

I’ve seen it all firsthand:

  • The first automotive technology company? It was General Motors, owning Hughes Electronics and Electronic Data Systems (EDS) in the 1980s and 90s.

Chrysler’s “merger of equals” with Mercedes-Benz occured, only to be sold, resold, and now owned by a French-Italian conglomerate with headquarters in Amsterdam.

  • 20 years selling digital media and data analytics to nearly every automaker in the U.S., decoding their real strategies, both spoken and unspoken.

This experience is why TaaSMaster exists, to cut through the noise and break down who’s winning, who’s losing, and what it all means.
